Virtual World user accounts approach 600m globally

The latest research published by KZero shows that total registered accounts for the virtual worlds sector reached 579m in Q2 2009.

KZero, a leading consulting and analytics company serving the virtual worlds and virtual goods market has just released its quarterly research on total registered accounts.

On an overall basis, including estimates, total registered accounts in the virtual worlds sector totalled 579m in Q2 2009. This is an increase of 38.6% from Q1, with a total reg accs number of 417m.
