Branson Gospel Music Convention to Host "His Choice Music" Talent Search this Week

July 12, 2009 - PRLog -- The stage has been set in Branson, Missouri for the first Branson Gospel Music Convention, and His Choice Records will host an impressive talent search July 15 as part of the program. His Choice Records was founded by Johnathan and Ginger Bond of the award-winning Southern Gospel group, Young Harmony, with home offices in Chattanooga,Tn. Matt McFarland of Crossway, partnered with the Bond's to form an innovative company that produces and promotes an impressive product for the listening audience.

The convention will be held July 14-17, 2009 at the Branson Convention Center and will also feature many legends in Southern Gospel music who will take the stage for many anxiously awaiting fans. The heritage these artists have left behind is evident today with newer groups following suit in this genre. Artists slated to appear are:

The Blackwood Quartet, Chuck Wagon Gang, Florida Boys, The The Stamps, Kenny Bishop, 2nd Generation, Lou Hildreth, Lulu Roman, Young Harmony, Shannon Bunch, Barbara Fairchild, Crossway, Kirk Talley, The Nelons, Rod Burton, Sunday Edition, The Shireys, Wendy Word + Forgiven, McMillan & Life, Peggy Inks, Weston Hinson & By Faith, Marcey Wall, Eric Hinson (of the Original Hinson Family), The Missourians, The Cerces, and Hearts of Faith.

Talent search officials announced the following contest rules:
Any artist exhibiting at Branson Gospel Music Convention who is not currently affiliated with a record label is eligible to participate in the contest, which will take place on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 8:30 am. There is space for 30 contestants, who will perform a 5-minute set on the convention stage during the talent contest. Please note: There is a fee of $150.00 to participate. Winners of the contest will receive complimentary and/or discounted recording services from HIS Choice Production as well as a spot on the Friday evening concert at Branson Gospel Music Convention. The prize packages are as follows:

- FIRST PLACE: Full 10 song recording package using pre-recorded tracks, two vocal days in studio, Engineer, Phrasing, Editing, Tuning, Mixing, Song Licensing, and 100 CDs OR 50% discount off any HIS Choice Production recording package, PLUS a ten minute set on the Friday, 7/17 evening concert of the 2009 convention.

- SECOND PLACE - 25% discount off any HIS Choice Production recording package, PLUS a one-song performance on the Friday, 7/17 evening concert of the 2009 convention.

- THIRD PLACE - 20% discount of any HIS Choice Production recording package, PLUS a one-song performance on the Friday, 7/17 evening concert of the 2009 convention.
