Artist Publishes Landscape Painting Course.

The purpose of the course is to ease amateur painters into painting landscape, especially if it's a subject they haven't tried. It goes into detail about drawing, tonal and colour studies, composition, and painting on site as well as in the studio.

July 7, 2009 - PRLog -- Landscape painter Geoffrey Warburton, 54, published his 7-part instruction course as an ebook, available on CD from his website, http://www.paintlandscape.com.
Illustrated throughout with examples of his own paintings and drawings, the book covers what he knows about painting landscape after thirty years of painting the countryside around his home, a mining village three miles out of Mansfield.

Warburton wrote the book, a project he's had in mind for some years,  when a combination of factors made it a good time to start. He built a website to showcase his work and act as a resource for serious amateur painters who wish to paint landscape. Selling paintings and a CD course through the site was the next natural step, along with referring site visitors to YouTube clips of him demonstrating various painting techniques, a series of short videos he continues to add to.
