Connecticut Author to Attend Sub-Fest 2009

Author Melissa Crandall to sign books and speak with fans at Navy Submarine Base.
 
July 1, 2009 - PRLog -- Connecticut science fiction and fantasy author Melissa Crandall will join other members of the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association (CAPA) in the Book Nook at Sub-Fest 2009, July 2 - 5 at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, Connecticut.  

Crandall is the author of “Darling Wendy and Other Stories,” a collection of short fiction.  Stories in the collection include "Centaur" (a young man's unique solution to a desperate situation), "Dreams on Racks" (an homage to Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone), as well as "And to All a Good Night" (a look at our environmental future).  The title story, "Darling Wendy" won the New England Writers Network 2002 Short Story Contest.

Crandall's other work includes Star Trek: Ice Trap (written in collaboration as L.A. Graf), Star Trek: Shell Game, Quantum Leap:  Search and Rescue, and Earth 2.  Her work has appeared in 5.5BW, Serve It Forth (Cooking with Anne McCaffrey), and Amoskeag:  The Journal of Southern New Hampshire University.  She has published articles in STRIDES (the magazine of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) and Animal Watch (the magazine for the ASPCA).
