June 30, 2009 - PRLog -- GROVELAND -- Doris Bloodsworth, the author of Arcadia Publishing's recently released Images of America: Groveland, will be at the Lake David Center in Groveland signing books and sharing historical stories and photos during the city's 4th of July celebration.

Bloodsworth's book will be featured at the Groveland Historical Society's "Oldie-Goldies" display that will include the original jukebox used during the 1950s and 1960s at the Teenway, a youth dance club that was popular in the town.

"The reaction to the book has been overwhelming," Bloodsworth said. "People tell me they feel a renewed sense of pride in the town after reading the book."

Images of America: Groveland is a 128-page, pictorial history of the city located in the heart of Central Florida.

The book can be purchased online at http://www.grovelandhistory.org/grovelandbook.html. A portion of the proceeds helps fund the Groveland Historical Museum, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.
