Ypsi Chamber to host 5k run this SeptemberThe event -- on September 5, 2009 -- is in support of the Chamber's economic development initiatives; participants will also enjoy a tailgate on the track of EMU's Rynearson Stadium as well as complementary tickets to the EMU vs Army football game.
In addition to a free ticket to the game, participants will receive a t-shirt (if registered before August 31), water bottle, numbered bid and chip timer, medal, as well as fun giveaways and coupons. The fastest man and woman will receive $100, which will be awarded during the football game. The entry fee is $25 per person, or $20 if part of a corporate team of four or more, if registration is received prior to August 31. After that, the fee will be $30. For participants under the age of 10 or who are members of the ROTC/Armed Forces, the entry fee is $10. Registration is available online at ypsichamber.org or by calling (734) 482-4920. All proceeds will go towards the Chamber's Economic Development initiatives. Participants may also order additional tickets to the football game for $3 each in advance. Early packet pick-up will be on Friday, September 4 during the Crossroads Music Festival in downtown Ypsilanti between 5:00 and 7:00pm at J. Neil's Mongolian Barbeque on Michigan Avenue.
