The National Kicking Combine Series, Created by NFL Kickers, Enters its 4th Season

Entering its 4th season, the National Kicking Combine Series (NKCS) has quickly become the premiere, event platform for kickers, punters and long snappers. Unlike any other in the country, the Combine Series is a succession of events: regionals, semi-finals and finals, with only the top qualifiers advancing. Its success lies in the fact that it allows recruiters to truly see how the student athlete performs in pressure situations on a consistent basis.

So successful is the Combine Series that nearly 75% of Combine Finalists have gained acceptance or received scholarships to colleges all across the country. That's a trend that NKCS founder and 10-year NFL Veteran Kicker, Michael Husted would like to continue. And combine participants feel the same way. Says one Southern Californian parent, "The only way a kid can measure himself on a national stage is through the National Combine Series. The Combine Series has given us an independent measure to which we can point scouts."

Beyond showcasing their talents and becoming nationally ranked among other kickers, these athletes are introduced to the top kicking coaches in the industry. As partners of the Combine Series, these associates, many of whom have NFL or D1 college experience, provide an invaluable network to college coaches across the country.

Not only are participants tested and evaluated by experts, video is taken and provided to all participants. The National Combine Series takes advantage of internet technology to provide maximum exposure for all student-athletes. College coaches can recruit from the luxury of their offices by reading detailed evaluations and viewing video on each recruit.

Says founder Michael Husted, "We are taking a very objective approach. "Numbers don't lie and through multiple events, we can provide athletes an accurate national platform by which they can measure themselves against others and give colleges an honest, consistent assessment of their potential. Our mission has always been to provide student athletes a platform which they can leverage their sport to get into college. Around 75% of our combine finalists play at the collegiate level and a majority of those have gone on to start as true freshmen. We're pretty proud of that."
