We and QuickBooks should soon have many more users due to the 500+ QuickBooks add-ons we now have and very fast, easy and inexpensive terminal server hosting of QuickBooks, QuickBooks add-ons, and these Intuit Federated Applications, the Ultimate QuickBooks Add-ons. These new Intuit Federated Applications will let SaaS (software as a service) web applications reach 25 millions QuickBooks users, synchonizing data in both directions, for the Ultimate QuickBooks Add-ons.

It said that using common business forms, and electronically exchanging data, would save trillions of dollars annually, in 1990 dollars. Imagine if one click, on a secure email-type message let an inventory manager approve a supplier invoice, add 50 or so separate items to inventory, schedule the bill for payment, notify the supplier, fill customer back orders and trigger re-orders? Big businesses already exchange data this way. Extension of Intuit Federated Applications, the Ultimate QuickBooks Add-ons, will soon start to trigger similar consumers automated sequences, by approving such e-mail type messages (grocery orders, payments, suppier messaging, re-orders, updating your own inventory, automated scheduled menus and even partial cooking). You also, if you wish, can retain message transcripts to minimize disputes.Today's many increasingly powerful and inexpensive home computers actually mean that Intuit Federated Applications, the Ultimate QuickBooks Add-ons, should soon far surpass the savings of this 1990 vision. These is the type of Stimulus Rebates we really need. Actually, many of the regular members of our QuickBooks Meetup already know about this U.N. Committee vision.
I have been pushing my QuickBooks friends about this since 1998. I first took over a pre-release QuickBooks test forum to ask, "What new features do you want in QuickBooks?" Some then felt Intuit was openly hostile to QuickBooks add-ons efforts. This and follow up questions quickly got most forum traffic. I was, at first, unhappy with the answers. Few agreed with my new features and there were so many needs that Intuit could never satisfy us all. I soon saw that an open QuickBooks database would let QuickBooks add-ons developers fully satisfy usl. There was unanimous agreement to my follow up question, saying that this was then the Ultimate QuickBooks Add-on. I then coined the term QuickBooks Add-ons.
