Sourcefire Announces New Security Courses for Dissecting Threats and Customizing Protection

To support the demand from its customer base and the worldwide Snort community, Sourcefire® has added two new classes: “Best Practices Rule Writing Workshop” and “The Fundamentals of Exploit Development,” designed to provide attendees with advanced skills for understanding and protecting against attacks.

   * Best Practices Rule Writing Workshop focuses exclusively on the Snort rules language and rule writing, providing attendees with tips and techniques for protecting critical assets from today’s dynamic threats. This course is ideal for both Sourcefire 3D® and Snort users.
   * The Fundamentals of Exploit Development takes the beginner from zero knowledge to exploitation development, explaining all the necessary science and implementation techniques, so that a security professional can better understand what they are defending against. Taught by industry-leading Sourcefire Vulnerability Research TeamTM (VRT), this class provides attendees with unique insights into the emerging threats impacting their networks.
