"Summer Sessions" Start July 1 at Rock & Roll After School

June 22, 2009 - PRLog -- PHOENIXVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA –  School’s out, so rockin’ is “in session” at Rock & Roll After School’s Summer Sessions, a new music day camp for kids ages 8 to 18, starting on July 1st.  

Rock & Roll After School (www.rockandrollafterschool), located in Phoenixville’s Franklin Commons, is the area’s newest and most innovative music school, where kids learn to play, create and perform their own music. During Summer Sessions, kids receive a full weekly lesson in the instrument of their choice, and can explore their musical pursuits from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Because Rock & Roll After School functions as combination music school and community center for kids, Summer Sessions gives them full access to Rock & Roll After School’s amenities, including:

-   Complete array of professional instruments and audio equipment, including turntables
-   8 private lesson rooms, including a huge, drum-shaped, soundproof drum lesson room
-   Quiet study room with desks and dry-erase board
-   Game room with pinball, air hockey, foosball and a one-story high chalkboard
-   In-house professional performance stage with 24-channel sound, lighting and seating area
-   On-site music equipment store for strings, picks and sticks

Franklin Commons, which is home to other educational and/or kid-friendly operations including Stepping Stone Education Center, Phoenixville Area Children’s Learning Center, and Facetime Performing Arts Studio, also conveniently features the on-site Franklin Bistro and food vending, so kids can have access to the fuel they’ll need for rockin’ the day away.

In addition to instruction in guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, voice and DJ techniques by accomplished and recognized professional musicians/DJs, Rock & Roll After School also teaches music theory and musicianship, as well as songwriting and performance. Kids are encouraged to interact, jam together, and to create and perform their original works. Master classes, workshops and special events are designed to enhance each student’s experience and musical endeavors, and to encompass all popular music genres.

Summer Sessions at Rock & Roll After School is available for only $195 per month.
