June 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Alan, suffering from Cerebral palsy, became a different little boy after just three weeks of stem cell treatment. His father informs, “I could lay him in a personal bed all day long and he would be in the same position.” Alan was always cold even when it was very hot outside. He did not have any head control whatsoever.
The first week after the placental stem cell treatment from Mexico, Alan started to sweat like a normal boy. “I think that and the spasticity were the first changes on Alan”, he says. He is holding his head by himself. Also, the left arm, which he had always contracted and did not use, is now less contracted.
When Susan was born, it was told that she was rigid and she has spent the last six years undergoing conventional medical treatments that have left her traumatized. Susan is six years old and had her first placental stem cell implants in June 2008.
Susan had multiple disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, quadriplegia, dystonia/spasticity, epilepsy, scoliosis, cortical vision impairment and developmental delay.  But in a very short time period of one month after the placenta stem cell implant, she has blossomed physically.  Her mother says, “She is so much more attentive and present.  Her seizure activity and spasticity have diminished significantly; she is trying to talk; she is so much more relaxed.”
Cerebral palsy describes a group of permanent disorders of the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitation, that are attributed to non-progressive disturbances that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain. The motor disorders of cerebral palsy are often accompanied by disturbances of sensation, perception, cognition, communication, and behavior, by epilepsy, and by secondary musculoskeletal problems.
Jenny had a serious brain injury at birth, born in asphyxia athetoid Cerebral Palsy, quadriplegia.
Since the first treatment Jenny has received she has grown, increased mobility and improved on all aspects of brain development.

“For my daughter stem cell treatment has been the greatest contribution to the steady improvement in the mobility of my child. Mobility brings all the rest we parents dream for to have our children being able to acquire”, Jenny’s mother expressed.

“Stem cell treatment is at a nascent stage but we need to understand the life-saving potential of such procedures. The majority of children with cerebral palsy are born with it, although it may not be detected until months or years later”, said Karan Goel, an entrepreneur and chairman of Stem Cell Global Foundation, which is creating awareness about stem cell technology.
The early signs of cerebral palsy usually appear before a child reaches 3 years of age The most common are a lack of muscle coordination when performing voluntary movements (ataxia); stiff or tight muscles and exaggerated reflexes (spasticity); walking with one foot or leg dragging; walking on the toes, a crouched gait, or a “scissored” gait; and muscle tone that is either too stiff or too floppy.
“In the industrialized world, the incidence of cerebral palsy is about 2 per 1000 live births. In the United States, approximately 10,000 infants and babies are diagnosed with CP each year, and 1200–1500 are diagnosed at preschool age”, Karan said.
Thus, opting the Stem Cell treatment can be small steps to some, but are enormous gains to many.
