In Robin’s previous career, she spent over 20 years in the laboratory on medical research for both environmental and inflammatory diseases. Her research examined the disease process of multiple chronic inflammatory diseases such as diabetes, nephritis, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, and lupus. Specific emphasis was placed on the up and down-regulation of RNA and the resulting cascade of cytokine proteins throughout the inflammatory response. Robin’s experience consenting and working with participants of clinical studies- primarily for dialysis related and inflammatory studies- has allowed her to see the face of all these diseases personally. Robin says "I know too many individuals who have suffered the pain of chronic degenerative disease, both through my research and my own family". When Robin was introduced to USANA Health Sciences by a friend in 2004 she was and still is impressed by the quality of their pharmaceutical grade nutritional products, and by the careful research behind them. This impression, passion for the vision of a world free from pain and suffering, a world free from disease has led her to be well known and loved independent associate of USANA from June 2004 to present.
