Hanover Homes Earns Prestigious Awards

June 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Hanover Homes North Corporation received three prestigious awards for professional excellence at the 2nd Annual Building Industry Association of NEPA Keystone banquet recently. Held at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the gathering honored the best home designs and construction of 2008 as selected by a committee of industry peers.

Hanover Homes North Corporation's first honor came in the category Single Family Home Price for a two-story Pennsylvania farmhouse style home set high upon a mountainside. In keeping with the true character, and modest, simple design elements of the farmhouse, the home dispensed with hallways, and other wasted spaces. Instead the simple architectural design focused on wide open expanses and additional energy efficient windows to bring in natural light and scenic views.

Next, Hanover Homes North won an award for Single Family Home up to 2,000 Sq. Ft. over $200,000 Structure Sales Price. The winning home, the Hartford, features both aesthetic appeal and functionality, with an emphasis on comfortable room-to-room flow all within a 1,933 square foot home. Inside, the home boasts a luxurious first floor master suite with separate dress ceiling with a granite surround corner fireplace; and a striking maple kitchen with breakfast bar that offers a comfortable spot for casual or on-the go eating while the sunny nook has plenty of room for a table.

The Hartford was also honored in the Energy Efficiency/ Environmental Responsibility category as the first Energy Star, EPA certified, and NAHB Green-GOLD home constructed in Lackawanna County.
