PM Moon Publishers, LLC Signs Another New Author to Contracts

June 10, 2009 - PRLog -- According to Mara C. Forsythe, "Although  Emily did not placed in the final four of the contest, she came very close to winning a spot.  She was chosen as an Editor's Choice by a member of the PM Moon Publishers' editorial staff".

 Emily Biasini grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland; studied music and drama at the University of Maryland, where she had her own radio show.  She graduated from The National Academy of Broadcasting in Washington, D.C.  
After graduation, she worked in local radio and television in Washington before accepting a position at CBS News on the production staff of the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite. For the past 20 years, she has been a radio producer with News Broadcast Network.  

Emily said, " I’ve had adventures all over the world from Switzerland to Australia (where I went on a camel safari and ate a water grub in the outback), and lived for a while on the side of a volcano in Hawaii. These days I spend my spare time on a converted tugboat in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, which is an adventure in itself.

           I’m a voracious reader and enjoy boating. Fortunately, the tugboat is big enough to have bookshelves for almost 200 books. So, I’m able to boat and read at the same time.  I’m an enthusiastic supporter of the Arts in Washington, D.C. and attend many performances at The Kennedy Center and The National Theatre, as well as other local theaters. I love spending time with my pets: Dori, a toy poodle, and Frank, a black cat. Dori is a talented little actress who played the part of Daisy in Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of Pericles in Washington, D.C. Frank likes to sleep and chase his tale down the steps, not necessarily in that order."

Emily's parents were educators who each came from a long line of storytellers.

"The memories they shared as well as a few eccentric relatives, friends and the colorful characters they knew have inspired my writing and given me my voice. Although I’ve written many poems and stories (and even a Rap song) for family and friends, Leaving for Christmas is my first book.
I’m excited at the opportunity to have my book published so I may share the sweet story of a very special Christmas, and the message that kindnesses we share will come back to us eventually, often in surprising ways".
