IT Risk Mangement Training
Greetings from NexCons! We would like to inform you that we are organizing a Certification Training Course on IT Risk Management in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 16th & 17th June 2009 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Organisations recognise the importance of risk management but are challenged by the difficulty to implement sound policies and practices in this area. This workshop will give you a good understanding of risk management. It will also give you a good grounding in the practical use of risk assessment and control evaluation techniques. Furthermore, methods and tools will be compared. You will understand that in view of the complexity and the importance of the issues, an adequate approach will help you to face the challenges.
Every organization sets objectives. Every organization faces also threats, which could impact it severely, to the point of not realizing its objectives or destroying it. Realizing opportunities, while reducing threats to an acceptable level by the implementation of adequate controls, is a major challenge for every organization. The COSO report indicated risk management as a cornerstone of Corporate Governance. Every control framework is requiring the usage of Risk Management as a major approach to assess the importance of risks and enhancing the selection and implementation of adequate mitigating controls to mitigate the risk. The requirements of the Basel II capital accord, as well as the Sarbanes Oxley law, are even more emphasizing the importance of adequate understanding and implementation of Risk Management.
To enforce the learning experience, participants will be working on several adapted case studies, can share experiences and participate in discussions. A demo with a risk, control and incident management tool will show the practical usability of the training. Delegates will actively participate in:
