Aging in Place with Style – Turn a Tub into a Glass Block Walk in Shower

This base measures 60” x 34” and fits into the area normally occupied by a standard bathtub. Since the base is made from acrylic it is guaranteed not to crack, chip or spall. Available in white or biscuit colors with a right or left hand entry designs, the new base will create a more open feel for a small bathroom.

The glass blocks are installed in a rounded (or radius) design with 2 pattern choices – Decora (which is wavy design) or Icescapes (which looks like crushed Ice). Both patterns make cleaning easier and eliminate the need for curtains or a shower door, making it more economical vs. traditional tub to shower designs. The block walls are 80” high and sit on top the acrylic base which measures 4”.

The shower wall can be prefabricated and shipped across the United States. The acrylic pans are formed as one piece with no seams and installed into a mortar bed at the project site – making them 100% waterproof.

These walls are shipped into 16” tall sections with a vinyl stack assembly components which are siliconed together and then grouted after they are anchored to the surrounding walls. The shower head and side walls are usually covered in tile or an acrylic shower wall surround.
