June 4, 2009 - PRLog -- (Westminster, MD) Rebuilding projects are a healthy sign that community service and giving is alive and well in America. Christmas in April is a national organization that provides construction improvements and rehabilitation on homes of needy families. The Carroll County chapter of Christmas in April found a deserving family and home in Westminster, Maryland.

"Safety was our primary concern," said Chapter President Jim Huber. "Adding grab bars, fixing loose things, installing a shower stall, and railings, making the house safe," was the mission for the centuries old home. Project captains Roy Stewart and Wade Kind, from Trinity Lutheran Church coordinated with Jim and Betty Huber, and managed the entire project. "Everything was planned, ordered, and installed like clockwork," said Christmas In April participant Bob Wilkins. "It was amazing how efficiently everything came together and the homeowner was thrilled and relieved to have a safer home."

The video of the project titled, "Christmas in April" is a short 5 minute video summarizing the purpose of this story. It features interviews with Huber, Stewart, and the homeowner's family as well as clips of work in progress. One reviewer of the video noted, "Wow, what amazing work you all did. Thanks for sharing your inspiring story..." Click here to watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzPN3rtt7BU
