Follow on Google News | Solution Found For Overweight People Who Can't Stick To A DietBy interviewing hundreds of fat and fit people, mental toughness expert Steve Siebold identified 101 differences in thinking between fat and fit people. “If you can learn to think like a fit person, you will get fit,” according to Siebold.
By: Potent Pen, Brenda Robinson So says internationally recognized mental toughness expert Steve Siebold, a resident of Gainesville, Georgia and Boynton Beach, Florida. After five years of research, Siebold has found the answer for overweight people who can’t stick to a diet. He found that fat people and fit people think quite differently. For example, “fat people believe diets don’t work because they can’t stick to them,” Siebold says. “Fit people believe people don’t work because they don’t have the mental toughness to stay on a diet.” Among other differences, fat people are addicted to food and fit people to success. Fat people see themselves as failures and fit people believe they are comeback artists. Fat people associate with other fat people; fit people hand around other fit people. Fat people think 99% compliance to a food program is good; fit people think it’s terrible. Siebold’s unique approach to weight loss offers new hope for the two thirds of Americans who are overweight or obese. At the present rate, a shocking 86 percent of adults will be overweight or obese by 2030, according to the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. “Our beliefs dictate our behavior,” says Siebold, a top professional speaker who recently lost 40 pounds just by thinking and acting like a fit person. It’s so simple, he says, that just about anyone can lose and keep off unwanted pounds forever if they stick to his method. Siebold has just written a book about it, Die Fat or Get Tough: 101 Differences in Thinking Between Fat People and Fit People. You can read a five-chapter sample of the book on his website, www.diefatbook.com.
