The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 450+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.  Current IAVA membership represents a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including:  Condè Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Keller Crescent,, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Tribal DDB, and many others.

The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria (award of distinction):
Blockdot’s “The Lord of the Rings Online: Mines of Moria” was designed to promote the release of an expansion pack to the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game, The Lord of the Rings Online. The project’s community-building features included a worldwide leader board, integrated voice chat, and instant messaging.

GreenIQ (award of distinction):
GreenIQ for GoGreen Online is a trivia game designed to help people learn new eco-friendly habits and promote green knowledge. If a participant answers incorrectly, GreenIQ automatically provides a clue to the correct answer via an internet search.
