Baby Business Cards Help Moms Keep Schedules Straight

How often are new moms fumbling in their purse for a pen and paper to mark dates for story time and mommy fitness, to schedule play dates, or jot down an important doctor’s appointment?

June 1, 2009 - PRLog -- How often are new moms fumbling in their purse for a pen and paper to mark dates for story time and mommy fitness, to schedule play dates, or jot down an important doctor’s appointment?

Mom Tanea Smith found herself in the same predicament one afternoon at her pediatrician’s office. After attempting to exchange numbers with another mom, Tanea found herself wishing for an easier way to provide her information. The event inspired the creation of the Baby Business Card Collection, an alternative to the ‘mommy calling cards,’ that seeks to encourage meaningful connections with today’s youth. Each Baby Business Card is personalized with the child’s name and phone number and inscribed with a cute, whimsical ‘title’ such as ‘Speaker of the House’ or ‘Chief Operating Toddler.’ The Baby Business Card provides an artistic, imaginative view of what a child can become, and showcases the significance of creating personal connections at a young age.

The collection has received rave reviews from moms across the United States since its launch in July of 2009.

“My sister in law bought the Baby Business Cards for my daughter who is the oldest of 3. She couldn’t wait to fill them out and give them to all of her friends. She especially loved that they had her official title on them, “Best Big Sister”!” – Ashley, Holmdel, New Jersey

“My son Jason loves his “Future Mr. President” cards. After the historic win of President Obama they further instilled what my husband and I have been telling him which is that he can be whatever he wants to be in life.” – Renee, Harlem, New York

“I bought the Baby Business Cards at a festival in Brooklyn. I thought they were so adorable and fun. My grandkids love to trade them back and forth and my daughter has a much easier time of keeping their get togethers with other children organized.” -  Beth, Ronkonkoma, Long Island

“A friend of mine bought the Baby Business Cards for my son as a gift after the birth of my daughter. My son had been an only child for 5 years and was a little sad about suddenly having to share Mommy. He loved the “Best Big Brother Card” so much and it’s actually helped him to ease into his new role. He takes them everywhere.” – Julie, Buffalo, New York

“Future PGA Champ”. My wife bought these cards for our little boy and at first, I didn’t know what to think. He knows that Daddy plays golf and we’ve even bought him his own miniature golf set. We took him to a birthday party and watched as he handed out his card and explained very confidently that he could in fact be the next Tiger Williams!” – Dan Rosenberg, Boston, MA

“My event planner bought the Baby Business Cards as favors for my Baby Shower. I wasn’t wise to all the new things that have come onto the market since I was a child. My guests were absolutely smitten with them! The designs are so cute, and oh, the titles! Several of my friends have set up play dates with Emily using the cards they received at the shower. What a fantastic idea for busy Moms and busy kids! – Inna, Silver Springs, MD

The Baby Business Card collection has also received rave reviews from mom bloggers including:

Momfinds writes: What mom doesn’t feel as if their child has a busier social life than she does?  I know that it’s harder for me to keep track of my son’s appointments and extracurricular activities than my own.  Enter the Baby Business Card with room for you to write in your child’s name and phone number.  You can bring them to school, the playground, or birthday parties.  They can remind another mom to call you about a playdate...and it’s a little more personal than an email.  I like the Girl and Boy Presidential collection since they envision that every kid is a future Mr. or Ms. President.
Mamanista Blog writes: Your child will feel oh-so-grown-up handing out a business card; and you won’t be stuck scrambling to find a pen and paper in your diaper bag.

Chicky Lounge Blog writes: I can tell you that my 9 year old absolutely loves her Baby Business Cards. Each Baby Business Card is inscribed with a cute, whimsical line and space to add your child's name and your phone number.

Mommin It Up writes: A year and a half ago, I randomly met a very nice mom at Barnes & Noble, when both of our kids were playing at the train table in the kids area.  She had just moved to the area and so I gave her my email address and told her to email me if she’d like to get together.  The ONLY problem with that is that I couldn’t find anything to WRITE on so I scrawled my email addy on an old wrinkled-up receipt that had been living at the bottom of my purse. Hey, I am nothing if not CLASSY, right? Well lucky for me, she looked past that and emailed me anyways, and we’ve been friends ever since. However, if I’d had the Baby Business Cards from She’s Got Papers, passing my info along to Kristyn would have been a whole lot easier!  This is the baby business card from She’s Got Papers - a perfect way to share contact information and plan playdates with other moms.  These cards are a very nice heavy weight, come in boy or girl versions, and can be personalized to say with a phrase about your child like “Future Astro Physicist” or “The Next Disney Sensation.”

Mogul Baby writes: The baby calling cards are great to keep in your handbag for times when you want to set up a play date.

Mom in the City writes: If you’re tired of looking for scraps of paper to keep up with your kids’ social calendars, you’ll love these adorable cards by She’s Got Papers.

Mamadivas writes: Baby Business Cards are wonderful presents for those parents whose tots have got full schedules, what with playdates, classes and all the other activities that take up the average kiddo’s got in store for them.
