Green Thumb Marketing Launches New Site, New Outlook For Their Future
The Port Valdez Company's revamped website and integrated web portal proves efficient and effective for potential and existing clients as well as shareholders
By: Green Thumb Marketing, LLC
Initially, The Port Valdez Company requested a website that would represent their land holding and development while offering a portal to their shareholders. Their main concerns were security and functionality. John H. Clark IV, President of the Board of Directors for the Port Valdez Company, did not want to purchase a website that would cost a proverbial arm and leg to keep updated. GTM met this requirement by choosing a cost effective and easy to use a Joomla content management system. This allowed them to concentrate on their concerns and provided them with a front end that showcased the company’s properties as well as a secure web portal to support 150 shareholders that would have access to meeting minutes and a question and answer forum.
Jarod Thornton, co-owner and director of operations for GTM, said “We have exceeded their expectations in meeting their deadlines, keeping very open lines of communications, and going above and beyond the initial proposal that was accepted by both parties.”
This project marks a new turn in experience for GTM. The Port Valdez Company site includes extensions for secured registered users which requires registrants to confirm their e-mail address before having to be approved by a moderator. The documents, including meeting minutes, are only accessible to registered users by means of a document propagation extension. The public information on the home page and for each category is also a content propagation extension and the photo slideshows are build on a popular image gallery extension.
Having experience in utilizing these extensions gives Green Thumb Marketing the edge in offering usability, functionality and minimal upkeep.
