Follow on Google News | MobileMeg: ASDA Mobile Better Value Mobile Internet Tariff Than O2/iPhone.Research by the recently relaunched MobileMeg shows that the SIM only mobile phone price plans from ASDA Mobile can provide better value for casual/lightweight mobile web/email use than the ever popular O2/iPhone tariffs.
By: Mobilemeg.com In a comparison by MobileMeg (http://www.mobilemeg.com) We compared the price of having a daily usage of 1 Megabyte of data each day for 30 days. ASDA came in as the cheapest at only £6.00/month (ie 30p/MB and therefore 30p/day). The three most expensive tariffs came in at a whopping £210/month for exactly the same amount of data. Even the PAYG iPhone offerings from O2 can’t beat them with their unlimited internet (and wifi) bundled in free for the for free 12 months, once you also consider that you need to fork out £342.50 or £391.45 for the 8GB or 16GB iPhone handsets respectively. Compare this to ASDA who let you buy a SIM for an astoundingly cheap 47p ! On the surface of it the ASDA call charges at 8p/minute to any UK landline or mobile and 4p/SMS text also look good. ASDA are using the Vodafone global network to provide their service, so we would expect coverage to be excellent in the UK and overseas. Mind you the oveseas data pricing information appears to have been missed from the website for now. All in all this is looking like a very good deal for casual use. Visit the MobileMeg site at http://www.mobilemeg.com to compare view details on these and any other UK price plans. # # # About MobileMeg: MobileMeg is the only site that provides an easy and free comparison of mobile data price plans.
