President Obama’s Homosexual Agenda for Military “Radical Social Experiment,” Say Experts on May 24 Coral Ridge Hour Broadcast

Fort Lauderdale, FL (May 20, 2009) –The Obama Administration’s plan to open the military to homosexuals is a radical social experiment that would dampen military morale, hurt enlistment and troop retention, and trigger tensions at a time when the military is stretched, experts warn on the May 24 nationally televised Coral Ridge Hour program.

Obama advisers repeatedly have signaled that the president intends to overturn the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy and the stricter actual law passed by Congress in 1993 barring homosexuals from the military altogether.

“The bottom line is that you’re going to be asking people to cohabit 24/7 in private areas with other persons who may be sexually attracted to them,” said Tommy Sears, executive director of the Center for Military Readiness, on the program. “This creates a level of unnecessary tension and potential for disruption that is particularly intolerable in the military.”

Furthermore, “The people promoting this policy have made it clear that they would have zero tolerance toward dissent, that is, towards people who retain traditional values and think homosexuality is wrong,” said Robert Knight, senior writer and Washington, D.C., correspondent for Coral Ridge Ministries. “They’ll punish people for holding to biblical views of homosexuality.”

Statistics presented on the Sunday broadcast reveal that according to a Military Times poll, 58 percent of armed forces personnel oppose repealing the federal law banning homosexuals from the military, and 10 percent (228,600 military personnel) said they would not re-enlist if the ban is overturned.

Knight says that when all the factors are taken together, the Obama Administration’s plan to open the military to homosexuality is “a radical social experiment.”

Coral Ridge Hour viewers who share the same view can visit Coral Ridge Ministries’ Web site to sign a petition calling on Congress and on President Barack Obama not to “allow the practice of homosexuality in the U.S. Armed Forces.”
