Utah Company Formed to Provide Private Support Coordination for People with Disabilities
Superior Support Service, LLC in Utah was formed to provide exceptional support coordination services for its individuals and families receiving DHS DSPD services.
By: Hal Smith
As Utah State DHS/DSPD moves to privatize services allowing for more individual choice in Support Coordination Services, SSS will be there to be a strong advocate for the people they serve.
Private support coordination will allow for more stability by allowing individuals and families to be able to choose and keep their Support Coordinator. There is no cost to the individual and family or decrease in services by choosing a private support coordinator, who are contracted to provide services and report to DHS/DSPD.
The procedure to choose SSS or other private support coordinators is done by talking with the private support coordinator indicating your choice for services(each SCE is allowed up to 40 cases) and then calling Utah DHS/DSPD to have the case file transferred to your SCE.
With DHS/DSPD approval, cases are transferred to the new SCE on the 1st of the next month.
