May 10, 2009 - PRLog -- A terrifying new horror attraction is to be created on the grounds of a Ribble Valley farm, near Preston, Lancashire.

Lancashire-based AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions is to unveil Scare Kingdom Scream Park, the UK’s newest scare attraction, on a ten acre site at Hawkshaw Farm Park, on the A59, Clayton-le-Dale, Blackburn.

It is the brainchild of well known TV presenter and author, Jason Karl, who has teamed up with the farm’s owners, Eric and Amanda Dowson, to create the spooktacular family venue.

The park, which is in the advanced stages of planning and will open in time for Halloween, 2009, will house three different but equally exciting scare attractions suitable for audiences of all ages.

It will include the chilling open air cornfield attraction, Dead Alive, where visitors will meet the menacing Pumpkin Man and his twisted, mad mother, Old Mother Strange.

Lurking inside the spine-chilling undercover attraction, Blood Bath, roams a crazed doctor who has turned totally insane and is on the hunt for fresh blood.

Young children will have lots of spooky fun inside Hubble Bubble, an interactive theatrical attraction where friendly witch sisters, Toil and Trouble, have a cauldron of devilish games to enjoy.

Professional actors, dynamic special effects, spooky sounds and sensational lighting effects will combine to create a thrilling experience that will leave fun-seekers screaming one minute and laughing the next.

Creative producer of AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions, Jason Karl, said: “With Scare Kingdom we are creating a brand which can evolve and develop year on year.

“There is an increased interest in this kind of entertainment format and, with the credit crunch, people will be looking for something unusual, fun and relatively inexpensive to do over Halloween – Scare Kingdom will be the perfect seasonal treat for all the family.”

As a professional company with 15 years experience in the scare entertainment business AtmosFEAR! Scare Attractions has produced several interactive horror attractions at different sites across the UK.

Its success stories include the sell-out Hex in the Harvest attraction which opened at Hawkshaw Farm Park, last year, and was the UK’s largest outdoor horror experience covering six acres.

The company was also behind the acclaimed 2008 Halloween productions, Ripper’s Revenge, at Botany Bay, Chorley, and The Phantom Feast, which ran at Croxteth Hall, Liverpool, as well as the successful Ghost Encounter Live at Bygone Times, Eccleston, near Chorley, in 2007.

Jason added: “With the unrivalled success of Hex in the Harvest, an outdoor scare show set in a cornfield which opened last Halloween at the same site, we wanted to step the fright factor up a notch.

“Scare Kingdom will have a rich narrative which will be imparted to the guests in a series of interactive four dimensional experiences using visual, audio, tactile and imitation scent effects.”

In addition to the three main attractions, street theatre characters will roam the grounds of Scare Kingdom Scream Park to keep visitors entertained and themed shopping and catering outlets are also planned.

Amanda Dowson said: “Last year Hex in the Harvest was so well received by the thousands of guests that went through that we wanted to do something even bigger and offer something which caters for all age groups.

“This year we have attractions for toddlers, families and for those seeking an extreme scream experience.”

Scare Kingdom Scream Park opens nightly from Thursday, October 22 and will open daily during the half term period when the children’s interactive experience will operate.

A cracking Fireworks Phantasmagoria will be held on Thursday, November 5, when a scary version of Guido Fawkes may even put in an appearance!
