May 12, 2009 - PRLog -- Bracesquestions.com, LLC announced today that five braces videos will now be available for viewing directly on Bracesquestions.com.  These videos will teach orthodontic patients how to brush and floss with braces and how to deal with various braces problems that can occur during orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Stephen Yang, an orthodontist and Senior Editor of Bracesquestions.com, says the videos were created to help orthodontic patients care for their braces at home.   “We teach our patients to clean and care for their braces while they are here in the office, and tell them that they can call the office if they ever have a problem with their braces.  However, many patients feel more comfortable knowing that they can just go to the internet and watch the videos on their own time at home, or if for some reason they cannot contact the office.”

Prior to today, these videos could only be accessed through Youtube.  The most popular of the Bracesquestions videos has been the Braces Problems Video (5500+ views on Youtube) which explains what to do when something breaks or when the braces start causing irritation.  “During the first two days with braces, my teeth hurt so bad and I had so many cuts and sores on the inside of my cheeks,  I could barely even open my mouth,” states Chelsea Thorton, an orthodontic patient in San Jose, CA.  “Then I discovered the [Bracesquestions] video about braces problems which showed me how to put wax on my braces to make everything feel better.  A few days later, everything was back to normal and I could eat again!”

Besides teaching viewers about problems with braces, there also are videos on how to brush and floss with braces.  These professionally-edited videos demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques using special interproximal toothbrushes and floss threaders.  “I didn’t know how to brush around my braces, but the brushing video on Bracesquestions.com showed me exactly how to clean the food and plaque between by braces,” says Deanna Ruiz who just got her braces placed last week.

“We didn’t know what people would think of these videos, but since we’ve gotten some excellent feedback from both orthodontists and users, we have decided to put these videos directly on the Bracesquestions website along with links to articles about cleaning and caring for braces,” says Dr. Yang.  Indeed, after watching the videos on the Bracesquestions website, users can easily find more information about what they just watched by following the links.  If users are interested in other orthodontic topics such as clear braces, Invisalign braces, or braces cost they can also find that information on Bracesquestions.com.
