New Product Release: Petro Plus

May 7, 2009 - PRLog -- STJ Retail has announced the release of a new product, Petro Plus.  Petro Plus allows retailers that utilize the IBM 4690 operating system to deploy and seamlessly integrate a complete fuel management system in a matter of months, not years.  This is the first fuel management solution specifically designed for the IBM 4690 environment.

Petro Plus is the product of a strategic partnership between STJ Retail and RMS Solutions.  RMS, a recognized industry leader in providing fuel management solutions, teamed with STJ Retail, a recognized industry leader in 4690 software support and development services, to create this, ‘bolt-on’ solution for IBM 4690 clients that are looking to add fuel sales to their current business or more efficiently manage existing fuel operations.

Petro Plus is the central management platform for the entire gas pump operation. It uses proven industry standard technologies and components and common POS peripherals for maximum compatibility with a wide range of systems hardware. This open architecture allows Petro Plus to be customized to meet specific client requirements and is the key to enhanced efficiency and maximized profitability.  Petro Plus eliminates traditional integration challenges by enabling retailers to use the 4690 environment for all related POS functions.  It is scalable from single lane to multi lane, multi store and head office.  Fuel Plus can maximize existing pump hardware investments by operating the pumps of up to 4 different pump manufacturers at one site via the fuel interface.
