Celebrity Baby "Yard Sale" With Proceeds Benefitting Bailey Baio Angel Foundation

May 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Studio City, CA  – The Bailey Baio Angel Foundation, founded by Scott and Renee Baio, announce the Celebrity Baby "Yard Sale" which will take place May 30, 2009 8am-4pm at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Hotel, 12825 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, CA 91604.  Scott Baio (Charles in Charge, Happy Days), his wife Renee Baio and Daughter Bailey invite the public to walk the red carpet to support children and families affected with GA1 and other organic acidemia metabolic disorders. heighten awareness of the importance of expanded newborn screening and raise much needed funds.  The event will include apparel and gear from over 25 well known baby apparel and gear companies at below-retail prices, celebrity memorabilia, new and gently used items donated by celebrity parents such as Marissa Jaret Winokur, Kristy Swanson, Tracey Gold and Renee and Scott Baio, unique and one-of-a-kind auction items signed by John Travolta, Kristi Swanson, Lou Ferrigno, Mary O’Connor, Hugh Hefner, Dennis Quaid, Sugar Ray and more, celebrity appearances, entertainment by the Jumpitz, and more. $10 minimum donation at the door. About the Bailey Baio Angel Foundation:
After a terrifying experience shortly after their beautiful daughter Bailey was born, Scott and Renee Baio knew that they had a been given a mission in their life, to raise awareness about metabolic disorders and the importance of screening. Within days of her birth, Bailey tested positive for the metabolic disorder “G-A 1.”  After 10 weeks of learning about this debilitating disease, the Baios were given the gift that the diagnosis was in fact a false positive and Bailey was perfectly healthy. Not the kind to sit idly back, Renee and Scott knew that they had been given a miracle and needed to give back to those whose miracles were not granted by raising money for the families coping with this disorder, raise awareness about the importance of screening and lobby for mandatory screening. The Bailey Baio Angel Foundation was born.
