May 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Life & Style for Less is celebrating its one-year anniversary this month. Partners Jane McCormack, Fran Linden, Mae Combs, and Sherry Combs launched the monthly online magazine in May of 2008.  Life & Style for Less addresses topics as diverse as the price of gasoline to decorating on a budget, from health issues to investing in an IRA. Life & Style for Less will help the average individual to live his or her best life as inexpensively as possible.

The Life & Style for Less team consists of four women from different parts of the United States.  All have different occupations and are from different backgrounds. They met as members of an online decorating message board and, over time, became fast friends.

Jane McCormack, a web developer with her own successful web design business, had long dreamed of developing a website that would help the average individual cope with the high cost of living. She realized that these women would have the life experience, expertise, and skills to help her make the dream a reality. She approached each of the women with the idea, and all were eager to join this exciting venture into the online world.  In addition to serving as webmaster for Life & Style for Less, Jane is also a contributing writer.

Sherry Combs is an adult education teacher and the editor of Life & Style for Less. Her articles cover everything from health concerns to coping with the high cost of gasoline.

Fran Linden is a marketing promotions expert and travel contributor for Life & Style for Less. She also operates a successful design firm, Dighton Design, in Massachusetts.

Mae Combs is an accountant and business manager extraordinaire, and she is the financial expert at Life & Style for Less. She is also a talented crafter, gardener, decorator, and quilter.

Each team member is also a parent and understands the importance of family values. Life & Style for Less is a family-oriented online magazine.

After several months of planning, Life & Style for Less went live on May 1, 2008. The first issue included articles on a beautiful master bedroom makeover, recipes, gardening, spring fashions, and even a “trash-to-treasure.” Each month, new articles are featured, while the previous articles remain available for readers’ convenience. Regardless of the topic, every article is packed with well-researched information that will help readers save money, live healthier, and explore their own creativity.

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of Life & Style for Less is the daily blog. Each member of the website’s team writes blogs about a variety of fascinating topics, including such things as free items on the Internet, saving money online, saving money at the grocery store and making your own organic bath scrub.

Life & Style for Less is a lively, exciting, and highly interactive new online magazine loaded with variety, color, and information. It encourages discussion and sharing of ideas between its readers and writers, all with the focus of saving money, yet living a good life, in these economically challenging times.
