What Can Kids Do to Help Prevent the Flu

Music is a powerful tool to educate children about germ prevention.

May 4, 2009 - PRLog -- With the recent outbreak of flu and President Obama’s address to the nation about germ prevention, the lightbulb went off for two songwriters and “edu-tainers”, Caroline Figiel and Danny Jones.  They know that music is a powerful tool to teach children about good health habits.  They decided to offer a free download of a fun and informative song, “Germ Attack”.  Please paste this address into your browser: http://kidsvaluepack.com/germattackpage.htm to receive the download that teaches children the importance of covering their mouths when sneezing or coughing with their arm.  It is from their album "Shake and Bake" which has been given positive reviews by the USDA and several health agencies.  Their hope is that the public passes the link on to others who have, teach, or care for children.  They wrote it when Caroline’s daughter had whooping cough and her son had mono.  Mrs. Figiel shows her sense of humor when she says “After 4 months of illness-I understand why mother animals eat their young!”  You can view the lyrics on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3anxIrCxQo or email them for the lyrics at: figiel@bellsouth.net .   This songwriting team thinks germ prevention is terribly important now.
