April 29, 2009 - PRLog -- V.I.L.A: The Chronicles is the newest vampire genre hoping to take a bite (no pun intended) out of Hollywood.  Set in 2040 in post apocolyptic Los Angeles, we follow Marble, the heroine.  Vampires are implicated as the advocates to the most notorious villians in world history in V.I.L.A (Vampires in Los Angeles).  Marble is a Tjegi (a human from another dimension with extraordinary powers), part vampire and part slayer.  While Blade was a hybrid, Marble is a TRIBRID! She is not alone, Elbram (her twin brother, that she doesn't know exists) is also fighting the same fight and a twist of fate puts them together in a collective effort against evil.

Stephen the Vampire King, was changed forever when he sired the Slayer centuries ago in Tien Shan.  The overwhelming power of the Slayer turned Stephen into a vampire who doesn't kill, much to the dismay of Martin.  Deciding to betray his master and best friend, Martin sends Stephen away and takes the throne as the King of Vampires.

Years later Stephen is fighting along side Elbram and soon they team up with Marble and her posse of Tjegis.

V.I.L.A is Blade meets Star Wars meets Indiana Jones.  V.I.L.A not only stands for 'Vampires in LA' but it stands for every great quality of an epic action movie.

Still in the early stages of development.  V.I.L.A is eying a 2010 release.  The story and its main character was inspired by none other than Brendan Fraser.  Thought Fraser is not currently attached to the project, Producer/Writer Anabella Ricardo would not mind a call from the man himself.  Much like how Fraser inspired Inkheart, V.I.L.A was also a product of Fraser's years of great work.

Currently attached to the film are David Sepulveda, Nikki Blackwell, Jon Lee Brody, Eric Ian, Victoria Masina, and Billy R. Smith.

The producers are currently working on a short teaser for V.I.L.A set to shoot the weekend of May 8th and 9th which will be directed by Lola Wallace.

Look out, Twilight! Because it looks like V.I.L.A is coming for you! And if Brendan Fraser is on board, you really better watch out!
