Team 26 gets Dressed for Success with AKUMA Sports

April 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Powerboat P1 stars Team 26 have received a welcome boost ahead of the season-opening Maltese Grand Prix of the Sea by signing a partnership agreement with clothing firm AKUMA Sports.

The deal will see Team 26’s crew, led by pilot Dan Cramphorn and throttleman Kim Collins, kitted out in the latest range of AKUMA offshore clothing for the duration of the season.

AKUMA becomes Team 26’s first new sponsor of 2009 and the company will also see its logo displayed on the side of Team 26’s new Sterling-powered Donzi hull. The Powerboat P1 series reaches a potential audience of more than 100 million television viewers globally in addition to the tens of thousands of attending spectators at each and every race meeting.

Co-founder of AKUMA Sports, Thomas Aldersley said of the announcement: “All of us at AKUMA are extremely excited to launch our new offshore range through this new sponsorship agreement with Team 26 for the upcoming Powerboat P1 season. Team 26 is a British powerboat team competing in the Powerboat P1 World Championship Supersport class.
