Blooming Lovely at Chelsea!

April 22, 2009 - PRLog -- The Chelsea Flower Show attracts the big name garden designers and is a plethora of plants and all things floral.
Horticulturists everywhere, whether aspiring, budding or experienced look to the Chelsea Flower Show for the latest gardening trends.  The show gives the opportunity to showcase the newest and most desirable gardening products available on the market.  The inspirational and stunning show gardens are the highlight of the show.
Not forgetting the Great Pavilion.  This is the showcase for the spectacular floral displays.  It’s renowned for being the place to launch new varieties of plants, flowers and shrubs.  If you are going this year, be sure to sniff out the new roses from the famed David Austin Roses.
So if that has got you reaching for your gardening gloves and compost, then I have just the gifts to turn any fingers green.  For a bouquet of gift ideas, swap your mower for a mouse and head online to Findmeagift.com, where you are sure to dig up some glorious gardening gifts.
Let me plant the following seeds in your mind, ready for when you next need to buy a present for someone.  First to shoot are the marvellous Pocket Gardens.  They come in a wonderful sealed silver pouch, making the Pocket Gardens a perfect present to post.  You can choose from a mini sunflower, ‘hot stuff’ chilli, wild strawberry, organic basil, organic coriander, organic mint, ‘thank-you - daisy, ‘congratulations’ -  phlox or a ‘happy birthday’ – gerbera.  Phew!  It’s true what they say, that great things do come in small packages, and these Pocket Gardens are no exception!  They come complete with seeds and soil.  So all you have to do is snip open the packets and add a touch of H₂O, then sit back and let nature do its thing.

Maybe you or someone you know, would love to have an herb garden?  Well my culinary gardening enthusiasts prick out this flavoursome offer to get you started.  The 5 Herb Plant Grow It Kit is absolutely fantastic.  It includes everything you need to grow your own set of fine aromatic herbs.  The kit includes basil, parsley, thyme, chives and rosemary seeds, as well as an Herb Garden Growing Booklet.  But that is not all; you get starter growing pots, compost discs, wooden plant markers and a full set of instructions.  Hey, you can picture it now, skipping out to your herb garden and picking fresh herbs to add to your favourite dishes, making your own herby salads in the summer, hmm tasty!

Gardening does not have to be all about pretty flowers and perfectly manicured lawns.  There are so many branches of plants and shrubs too.  So why not take a walk on the wild side of plants with a Venus Fly Trap Carnivorous Plant Grow It Kit.  It challenges you to grow your own sensational spiky Venus Fly Trap and a fascinating Pitcher Plant too.
Venus Fly Traps are delightful to grow and dangerously fun to feed.  But unlike the Little Shop of Horrors, you do not have to worry about feeding it your annoying neighbour.  Instead it captures its own insects and arachnids to chow down on.  They are great to have on your windowsill and I know you won’t be able to resist dropping a dead fly into it, just so you can watch it close.  Come on, admit it, I bet you use to stick your fingers in them, when you first saw them in the garden centre!
Many look forward to watching the coverage of The RHS Chelsea Flower Show on television.  The ‘behind the scenes’ features of the show are a particular favourite.  Seeing how the show gardens actually transpire, from a concept drawing to the final designed garden is enthralling.
Findmeagift.com allows you to spend a day with one of the country’s leading designers, in a spectacular garden with the Garden Design Experience.  Spend the morning learning about the principles of garden design, together with plants and planting from an experienced professional.  Then before you get rooted to the spot, a light lunch is included; well it isn’t just plants and flowers that need food and water!
The afternoon can be spent strolling around a stately garden, looking at the features and garden design ideas.  There is also an opportunity mid afternoon for your questions to be answered, and to discuss your own gardens and gardening problems.
Well, that lot of flourishing gardening gift ideas, has certainly got me thriving to put on my gardening gloves!  Flowers, plants and shrubs are a gift of nature, so give them a home in your life.  Who knows, with a tub of love, a hanging basket of dedication and a watering of time, you too could end up blossoming, I mean, exhibiting at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show!
