GlacialLight T8 LED Lights aid Elementary School safety

April 22, 2009 - PRLog -- GlacialTech Inc. through its sub-brand GlacialLight continues to work with schools to bring the world’s power consumption down and diminish the ever increasing carbon footprint. This time they teamed up with an Elementary school called Wurih Elementary School in the heart of Taichung, Taiwan.

Wurih Elementary School decided to embrace “green” technology LED lights to help reduce costs in the long term. The initiative is both educational as well as pro-environmentally friendly. The 30 pieces of T8 LED light tubes are arrayed along a pathway to keep the darkness at bay for when functions are held at the school. The high brightness T8 LED lights are ideal for low power consumption, with high brightness and lumen output. The added safety factor in keeping the area secure with a blanket of light makes security a far easier job. The footpath is seen as an icon of safety as well as a symbol of change to come.

Similarly last year, GlacialLight was approached by Lan-Yu Primary School found on tropical Orchid Island off the coast of Taiwan to work with the local  government to upgrade their facilities and in a revolutionary move, also opted for the “Greener solution” and embraced LED light bulbs from GlacialTech. Over 600 LED-BR40 globes were installed throughout the premises and aided in reducing electrical costs considerably.
