D. Christopher Jenkins Interviewed 3 Times in 1 Month on Television: New Technologies in Job Search

D. Christopher Jenkins, CEO, Las Vegas Review-Journal Career Columnist, and Internet TV Personality, has been interviewed on television three times in a single month. He uses the latest Online Technologies and Social Media to combat unemployment.

April 21, 2009 - PRLog -- During a TV news segment, Fox 5 News of Las Vegas calls on Mr. Jenkins, CEO of Harrington & Reed, Inc. at his office and interviews him explaining the power of Visual Online Media to get top candidates seen and heard by multiple hiring executives all over the globe.  Mr. Jenkins, the leading voice for new hiring technologies, is constantly sought out by the news media for his insights into new executive hiring solutions.

This new visual capability, which has primarily been enabled by YouTube, is now gaining acceptance by key employers who feel as though they have met the candidates after seeing and hearing them Online. "The candidates are effectively "pre-sold" before they ever meet the company in person.", says Jenkins.

(Vayner is the infamous Yale graduate student candidate who over-produced a 20 minute candidate video of himself touting his many virtues and ended being up the brunt of several jokes and receiving national media attention in 2006.)

Jenkins creates what he calls a "Digital Dossier" which is comprised of many inter-linked online components, employing such sites as LinkedIn, VisualCV, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Vlogs, Intro Videos produced by Jenkins, etc. and integrating them for maximum impact and effectiveness with the CEO's viewing them.

Top candidates with a Digital Dossier are finding that companies will find them online and call them in, making the traditional "job search" a thing of the past.  Jenkins says, "The gulf between top candidates and average candidates is widening because of these technologies.  The sharpest candidates are getting their pick of jobs, while those still relying solely on their resumes and email are losing out."
