Harmony Pilates Studio asks Pure Expressions Photography to create a display of movement images

April 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Harmony Pilates Studio has asked the award winning photographers of Pure Expressions Photography of Apex, NC to create a display of movement themed images for their new studio opening this spring in downtown Apex.

Harmony Pilates Studio is a place of wellness and transformation. The new studio, to open this Spring in downtown Apex’s Salem Street Promenade Building, features wide open spaces, clean lines, contemporary decor and rich brick, creating a relaxing, calming environment perfect for refreshing the mind, body and spirit.

“In our new space, we wanted to incorporate the look, feel and methodology of pilates with complimentary imagery,” says Harmony Pilates Studio owner Susan Simon, adding, “We asked Pure Expressions Photography to create the images for us because they have an innate understanding of expression and how that relates to movement and our goals in the studio.”

The photographers of Pure Expressions Photography were challenged to create and select images that represent movement or the feel of movement in subtle and unobtrusive ways. “Susan came to us asking for images of movement that weren’t obvious. Right away, we decided that we’d focus on nature rather than people — through a visual depiction of movement in water, wind and the natural elements. Our photographers were challenged to submit images for selection and seven amazing images made the cut,” says Pure Expressions Photography owner Aimee Bickers.

The seven black & white images, custom printed and mounted to a contemporary black & white board, will hang in the Harmony Pilates Studio beginning May 2nd with the opening of Peakfest, Apex’s annual event. “Just as expected, the photographers of Pure Expressions Photography completely understood what we wanted and made it happen. I can’t wait to show off our new space with their artwork,” said Susan.

Harmony Pilates Studio is an Integrative Movement & Yoga Studio.
