Cold Steel Goes “Underage & Over The Top” This Summer

April 20, 2009 - PRLog -- This summer, Omaha-based hard rock band Cold Steel goes “Underage & Over The Top” with a blitz of live performances across the Midwest and on the internet.

The ambitious schedule kicks off in a new setting for Cold Steel as they will perform an acoustic set at Hot Topic inside the Mall of the Bluffs located in Council Bluffs, Iowa on April 24th from 6-7pm.  The following week , May 2nd, at the band’s home stage, Club Roxbury in Omaha, Cold Steel will headline a bill that includes Indecision (Omaha) and Easteighteen (Cedar Falls, IA).  Cold Steel’s set will be documented by a 4-camera video shoot to be compiled for a full-length DVD release this summer.

Matt DiBaise, lead guitarist for the band, said, "We're really looking forward to hitting the road and promoting our CD this summer.  The college radio support has been great for us in many of the cities we're scheduled to play, so we hope we'll see some of our new friends at our out of town shows."

Future dates this summer include EDGEFest '09, sponsored by KBVU-FM in Storm Lake, Iowa, back-to-back shows in Denver and stops in Wichita, Kansas City and more as the band criss-crosses the region in support of their debut CD.

Currently receiving airplay on over 100 college radio stations nationwide, Cold Steel is also ranked 7th among over more than 3,400 bands nationwide in “Buzz Factor” in the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands to appear on the Warped Tour in either Kansas City, St. Louis or Denver this year.

The band’s video for “Stuck” continues to receive recognition after being featured nationally by Fuse On Demand which saw the unsigned band receive over 4,200 requests for “Stuck”.
