On April 23, it is customary to give a book and a rose in celebration of World Book and Copyright Day.  American author of the book, “Slinging Stones when United State Congress has lost control and American Courts are out of control,” Mrs. Dorothy Barron salutes three North Carolina Libraries and Librarians.  In recognition of the author’s campaign to donate a portion of proceed from her book, the following has been awarded:

Scotland County Memorial Library(as requested, only, an autographed copy of the author’s book for the library)

                 The Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County
                                         and
                                   Roanoke Rapids Public Library

each will receive an autographed copy of the author’s book, a rose, $1.00 inside an autographed envelope(portion of proceeds from first book sold), and a certificate saluting each librarian for his/her dedication and commitment to his/her library and patrons.

The author gives each library above permission(if, permissible by the libraries) to either:

Give the book to a dedicated supporter of its library
Auction the book to the highest bidder to raise funds for its library
Shelve the book for its patrons use

About the Author: Mrs. Dorothy Barron not only believes in the spirit of giving back to the community and society, but has exemplified such for twenty-five years.  She also acknowledges that one reaps untold benefits in serving others. In fact it was through her volunteer service to others and those experiences, as well as her personal experience that assisted her with being able to write her book, “Slinging Stones when United States Congress has lost control and American Courts are out of control.
