Allentown, PA—The Board of Directors of Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, Inc., is pleased to announce the selection of Nancy McCullar as the new Executive Director of Turning Point.  “We went through a long search process, interviewing many talented people," said Board President, Eileen Lewis. “We selected Nancy based on her excellent leadership skills as well as her extensive work with women and girls to empower them via support and resources. We are excited to have her join our team.”

Nancy is a skilled not-for-profit executive with a 20-year history of leading organizations that reach out to women and girls to assist them in the process of changing their lives. She is the former CEO of Girls Scouts Great Valley Council and former CEO of Girls Incorporated of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.   Nancy has extensive experience in managing service delivery to families and is a local expert on programs for empowering girls and women.  Vital to any nonprofit organization is fundraising experience.  Nancy has raised over $1 million in funds for four different non-profits in the past six years.

“I am a survivor of abuse who was blessed with strangers who guided me out,” says Nancy.  “As a result, I have a passion for services for women and girls that do the same. For over 30 years, Turning Point of Lehigh Valley has been reaching out to people trapped in abusive situations and assisting in that long process to a new life.  I am honored to bring my skills and passion to further Turning Point’s ability to reach families throughout the Lehigh Valley.”

Nancy has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan and a Graduate Degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.  She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Leadership Initiative of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.  She also serves as a volunteer consultant and board member for the Executive Service Corps of the Lehigh Valley.
