April 14, 2009 - PRLog -- Penn Care Inc. Unveil Next Generation Oxygen Systems and Satisfy Mass Incident Oxygen Therapy Demands

Penn Care Inc. and their team recently acquired the rights to sell a new generation Mass Oxygen Distribution System (MODS) to produce adequate EMS oxygen response and therapy to mass incident, multi-patient situations. Penn Care Inc. has been helping EMS with supplies and disaster response for over 20 years.
NILES, Ohio – Penn Care Inc. acquired the rights to sell a new generation Mass Oxygen Distribution System, vital technology to produce adequate EMS oxygen response and therapy to mass incident, multi-patient situations.

The MODS, or Mass Oxygen Distribution Systems, are large-volume oxygen distribution systems that are transported using a trailer. At the heart of the MODS oxygen distribution system is a 75-Liter Liquid Oxygen (LOX) storage and gaseous oxygen distribution system (MODS-75) that provides an incredible 450 LPM of gaseous oxygen flow for patients during a mass injury incident. This is a remarkable supply of up to 15 LPM of oxygen for up to 30 patients for over 2 hours!

“Our mission is to develop, manufacture and market products in the pressure vessel, cryogenic tank and associated support equipment fields for industry and government agencies. Our people are a highly trained group of experienced and dedicated individuals committed to producing quality products to our customer's requirements” states Shawn Bryant, President Penn Care Inc. Niles, Ohio
Originally founded as a supplier of Rescue products, Penn Care Inc. now provides Ambulance services, Disaster Response services, EMS supplies and also a revolutionary emsCharts Software.

“Our MODS (Mass Oxygen Distribution System) and Surge Equipment such as the MasCache PODS are vital for when hospitals need to evacuate patients and transport them to other areas and our Mobile Morgues and Push Packs are essential during mass casualty situations.”

Mr. Bryant adds, "At Penn Care, we deliver products for life-threatening conditions. It is Important to patients, whose lives depend on our products and services. It is Important to EMS professionals, who count on us to help them treat their patients and Important to our employees, who come to work every day knowing that we are in the business of supporting those who save lives. We are responsible for delivering goods and services that make the job of life-saving more effective. And our work continues.”

Penn Care Inc. has numerous accounts including over 600 emsCharts customers, Apple computers, Homeland Security, OAEMS, DMS, Car Mate * Trailers Inc., Braun Ambulances, Bizlinks Central, JXT Applications, Medix Ambulances, Hartwell Medical, and WSI.
When asked how Penn Care Inc. manages all of these accounts, Mr. Bryant says that they have very dedicated staff members who work on accounts each day. “They define our responsibilities to customers, other employees, suppliers and the communities in which we operate. Our environment is one of continuous learning in which all employees can develop to their full potential” he adds.

The Mass Oxygen Distribution System or MODS is revolutionizing the way organizations and communities prepare for disaster. These MODS provide over 64,000 gaseous litres of oxygen (stored as only 75-liters of LOX) to multiple patients. In fact, the oxygen capacity of just one MODS-75 system is equivalent to 12 large high-pressure H cylinders. Furthermore, LOX costs less than Gaseous Oxygen and uses ALL of the oxygen volume, whereas Gaseous Oxygen cylinders only utilize 80% of their volume.

In short, MODS are a cost-effective and space-conscious way to deliver oxygen to multiple patients in the event of a crisis.

“For the past 15 years, Penn Care has been making good progress as a company. We are passionate about Penn Care because we believe the best is yet to come. We are building a growth culture. We seek ways to help our customers grow; we seek ways to help our partners grow. We are the company best positioned to succeed due to our leadership, technology expertise, partners, customers and resources. We would like to thank our employees for their efforts and also extend out thanks to our customers and vendors, whose loyal support contributes immeasurably to our ongoing success”, concludes Mr. Bryant.
