Pittsburgh Says “I Do” to Eco-Chic Weddings

April 10, 2009 - PRLog -- Pittsburgh, PA –  5Senses Events Design, a Pittsburgh-based firm specializing in intimate weddings and events, is excited to announce the launch of ‘Say I Do 2009’, the area’s first green wedding event.

An elegant cocktail party aimed at brides-to-be, ‘Say I Do’ will introduce the newest eco-chic wedding ideas as well as the opportunity to mix and mingle with local wedding professionals. “Today’s brides are savvier than ever and they want their weddings to reflect their eco-conscious lifestyle without compromising style and amenities,” says Simone Hudson, owner of 5Senses Events Design. “’Say ‘I Do’ will show brides how easy it is to be green and that the resources exist locally to make that happen.”

Guests will also enjoy and be inspired by delicious cocktails made from organic ingredients; appetizers prepared with seasonal produce; decadent vegan desserts; and sustainable décor. Local vendor partners include: ADS Lighting, All Occasions Party Rental, Coca Café, Dozen Bake Shop, DJ Jeremy Ganss, Katy D Invitations & Greetings, Kimberly Reed Photography, Lendable Linens, M Catering and Mocha Rose Floral Design.  

The event will be held on April 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Grey Box Theatre in Lawrenceville. Brides-to-be and their guests must RSVP to attend as space is limited. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success Pittsburgh, an organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by helping them gain and maintain employment.
