Children's Sleeping Bag Company Makes Sleepovers & Slumber Parties a big HIT - Cricketzzz (Crickets)

March 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Having the ultimate sleeping bag is only the beginning of a successful sleepover or slumber party.  Cricketzzz offers parents some creative ideas for a fun filled evening of activities.  
Sleepover tips and tricks:
•If you are having a birthday slumber party, consider having it the weekend before your child's birthday and reserve the real date for a family party.
•Be prepared to call it a later night than usual, because everyone knows that a sleepover party is about anything but sleep!
•Clear an area for spreading out the sleeping bags!
•Set up crafts and games before the party begins.
•Decorate the party place to make a festive atmosphere.
•Stock up on munchies!

Girl’s slumber party activities:
•Make-Your-Own Lip Gloss and Lotion craft.  This activity lets girls experiment with their favorite flavors and scents.  At the end of the party, they get to take their lip gloss and lotion gifts home to share with mom (or sister)!  This craft comes in packs of 8 and may be purchased at http://www.cricketzzz.com .  
•Make-Your-Own Sleepover Slippers.  Have your child find out each guest’s foot size and favorite color, then shop for basic flip-flops to make these cozy sleepover slippers!  These slippers are just the thing to make guests feel right at home. To make a pair, place flip-flops on the back side of a piece of fake fur (zebra, cheetah, dalmatian, jaguar, etc.) and trace around the bottoms. Cut out the shapes. On each cutout, mark the three spots where the foot straps on the flip-flops join the insole, then cut three slits from the outer edge in toward each mark. Cover the top of each insole with double-sided cloth carpet tape. Starting from the heel, slowly roll the fur cutout onto the insole, adjusting it around the toe straps. Firmly press down on the fur, and the slippers are ready to wear!
•Make Your Own Pillow Case!  It is easy to do with dye crayons purchased at your local fabric store.  Give each girl their own pillow case to color with the dye crayons. “Fix” the dye with a hot iron according to the instructions.  NO DRYING TIME REQUIRED!!!
•Pamper yourself at beauty stations.  Set up tables, chairs, and supplies for the following stations:  hair styling, manicure, pedicure, and make-up.  You can label and decorate the stations as desired.  You will need and adult or teen helper at each station.  Guests will rotate between whichever stations they would like to visit!
