-- Aromahead Institute’s intensive 15-day Aromatherapy Certification Program is now available as an online self-study course. The online program, which took over a year to develop, allows students to obtain certification approved by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy. While Aromatherapy is not formally licensed or regulated in the United States, certification helps maintain consistency in methods and safety and establishes trust between practitioners and clients.
Instructor Andrea Butje has been practicing Aromatherapy for over twelve years. She currently serves on the educational board of the Alliance of International Aromatherapists and operates a well-respected essential oil retail website. Her teachings focus on the chemistry of Aromatherapy, as well as the practice of blending therapeutic and medicinal products.
Online self-study benefits students who do not have the means or time to travel to the Aromahead Institute in Sarasota, Florida. In order to mirror the experience of studying in person at the Institute, Andrea Butje developed hands-on activities and exercises for students to complete at their own pace. The course also includes professional video footage that guides students through various lessons within the program.
Former graduates of the Institute’s various Aromatherapy and essential oil programs have gone on to create successful businesses, including consultation services, teaching programs, and therapeutic product lines. While the course can certain augment or jump-start a career, the material focuses on the individual’s experiences and relationship with essential oils and their therapeutic properties. Prospective students can take the class to achieve certification, or can take it for their own personal growth and education. Course details and registration information are available at www.aromahead.com.
