March 2, 2009 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Shane Bull, a Triangle commercial real estate advisor and broker, was recently appointed to the NC Hospitality Education Foundation (NC HEF) 2009 Golf Classic Committee.  The Foundation was established in 2003 by the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA) to provide the resources necessary to build an educated, strong, and committed workforce for the hospitality and tourism industry in North Carolina.

NC HEF provides the opportunity for a unique link between the industry and educators that is unprecedented for the hospitality and tourism community in North Carolina.  According to the Foundation, the hospitality industry in North Carolina is the second largest employer in the state, providing 465,000 jobs annually.  By 2010, the nation’s restaurant industry will operate more than 1 million units and post sales of $577 million.

In addition to its NC Hospitality Golf Classic, the Foundation also relies on its Excellence in Education Gala, Giving Campaign, and Founding Partners to raise funds, with the Golf Classic being the organization’s primary fundraiser.  This year’s [Golf Classic] event will be held on Monday, June 8 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. The event is celebrating its 7th year and has raised over $556,000 since its inception.  Bull has been an NCRLA member for five years and is looking forward to utilizing his current and prospective relationships to help raise money for NC HEF.

“NCRLA has given me the opportunity to learn more about the needs of restaurant owners and build relationships with others in the hospitality industry,” says Bull.  “Membership enables me to introduce our location finding services to new and existing restaurateurs and helps the landlords I represent by allowing me to put their restaurant space in front of potential tenants.  NCRLA also keeps me up to date with issues and trends affecting the hospitality industry.  It’s a privilege to serve on the Golf Classic Committee, and I look forward to giving back to an organization that has provided me with so many invaluable industry insights, opportunities, and connections.”

Registration for the NC Hospitality Golf Classic begins at 8am with a shotgun start at 10am.  Tickets are $275 per player and there is a maximum of 48 foursomes playing on the day of the tournament.  For sponsorship opportunities or more information about the event, visit http://tinyurl.com/boc6sb.
