Feb. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- Ed Palmer, SolarAttic's president said: "Continued high energy costs are causing pool owners to seek out innovative and alternative ways of heating their swimming pool. The PCS3 is an advance in SolarAttic's innovative approach to pool heating. It features a 30% reduction in power consumption over the PCS2 model, which could already heat a pool for $10 per month. In addition to the lower monthly operating costs, the PCS3 features a Maximizer(tm) technology used to improve heat transfer from the attic to the pool. SolarAttic expects significant revenue growth during 2009 in spite of the current industry downturn. Consumer awareness of the SolarAttic solar pool heater is up substantially from 2008 levels. And, pool industry pros are finding the PCS3 offers a unique selling proposition for existing clients to consider. The PCS3, hidden inside the attic, offers their customers solar pool heating without having to use solar panels."

SolarAttic's has patented technology that recovers solar heat from attics to heat swimming pools. How it works is easy to understand. The existing pool pump sends the pool water to a simple air-to-liquid heat exchanger located in the attic. A fan pulls the hot attic air across a water coil, heating up the pool water. By utilizing the heat from the attic, the home cools down causing less demand on the air conditioner. The pool owner gets free solar energy without having to use solar roof panels. SolarAttic's breakthrough technology is now heating pools in over 40 of the United States, and in Canada, England, New Zealand and South Africa.
