“Spirit of DC” PHEV All Around America educational tour stops at North Texas High Schools

Feb. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- “EV Jerry” and the “Spirit of DC” Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle All Around America educational tour will be making the following inspiring North Texas High School educational stopover appearances:

Bonham HS on Friday March 6th at 10AM
Plano HS Saturday March 7th at 10AM for the monthly North Texas Electric Auto Association (NTEAA) meeting
Plano HS Monday March 9th at 3:00PM with the automotive class
Richardson HS Tuesday March 10th at 9AM with their automotive class.  

These specific schools were chosen as they are in the process of doing their own gas to electric vehicle conversions.  We welcome members of the local press to come out and report on “EV Jerry’s” educational stopovers with these individual schools and their interest in helping America become energy independent.

Feb 06, 2009 – The "Spirit of DC's" on the road again on its Sun Belt Grand Finale from San Francisco to Washington, DC.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle All Around America (PHEV3A) tour with "EV Jerry" Asher driving started last year on Earth Day, in front of the Nation’s Capitol. The plug-in hybrid vehicle the “Spirit of DC" was designed to run on electricity alone for about 10 miles before reverting back to acting like an ordinary hybrid. Now the "Spirit" is busy promoting plug-ins at America’s schools.

The PHEV3A mission is to educate America one town (or in this case one school) at a time on getting its own energy independence back by moving away from imported oil to using home grown electrons preferably from renewable energy sources like solar, wind and hydro-power. The Spirit f DC will complete the PHEV All Around America educational tour back in Washington, DC on the weekend before Earth Day at the Environmental Protection Agency’s 5th Annual National Sustainable Design Expo.
