Feb. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Jay Shelly, President of the Center for Transportation Safety, announced the launch of the Train2Drive Program.  The Colorado Department of Revenue has approved the 30-hour classroom instruction of Train2Drive.  Train2Drive uses the textbook “License to Drive” created by the Alliance for Safe Driving.  Classes are instructed by retired members of the Colorado State Patrol who are the best in providing students with their knowledge of real life experiences. Our customized vehicles create a safe environment to learn behind the wheel driving techniques and our driving simulators are state-of-the-art.  Our specially designed skid recovery vehicle teaches students the correct way to recover from a skid on icy or snowy roadways.  Classes are conveniently conducted during evenings and weekends, and school breaks.  Classes are concurrent with those breaks.
Our goal is to provide the student with the best possible driver training at a reasonable cost. Train2Drive is not computer based.  We believe by using retired law enforcement officers who were and are dedicated to saving the lives of our youth we are able to enforce the strength of Train2Drive and the dedication of our staff.   For more information and instructions on how to enroll, please review the attached flyer.
