In our nations past there have been accomplishments that have captured global attention but none like that of November 4th when Americans elected their first black Commander in Chief, and now is the time to honor him. Though there will be parties around the country New York City is hosting the "peoples party" at rapper Jay Z's club 40/40 which is located on 6 West 25th. This celebrity studded victory gala will be hosted by G.O.O.D. Music artist Tony Williams the vocalist featured on Jay Z's History track (a musical tribute to Obama) that was performed at President Obama's Neighborhood Ball on ABC television January 20th. The song written and performed by rapper Jay Z and Tony Williams the relative of the songs producer Kanye West evolved during studio sessions in the Presidents birthplace of the State of Hawaii back in August on 2008.
The writing and production team have always loved collaborating on the island and it must have been pure magic that this songs melody and significance are so strong and meaningful for our time. The lyrics ring true to many
Now that all the smoke is gone
And the battle finally won
Victory's finally ours
History so loved, so long
So long, so long
