Feb. 15, 2009 - PRLog -- MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Gen-9, Inc. announced today the beta release of StratoVista, Google Edition (www.stratovista.com). StratoVista is powerful, Internet centric data management application, which provides users with unique capabilities including the ability to publish their data to various free Google Web Services such as Google Calendar, Blogger, Picasa, and Google Docs.

StratoVista is a new type of software platform that is designed to help users organize, manage and securely share information with coworkers, friends, and family members, no matter where they are located. It’s a powerful collaborative tool capable of managing virtually any type of data – emails, notes, application files, appointments, contacts, Web pages, RSS feeds and more - easily and logically using a common "data canvasses" called Topics. StratoVista’s was designed from top to bottom with features to help users regain control of the ever growing flood of information including:

1) The Email Download Controller , which permits users to selectively downloads only those emails that meet certain criteria that they define. It leaves the rest of the emails on the server for future use or will delete them from the server if preferred.

2) The Topic Creation Feature , that allows users to create special “data containers” that automatically collects emails from a specific sender and/or with a specific subject and places them, in order of receipt, on a project management styled Gantt Chart, Calendar or Day Book. Topics are a central component of StratoVista and permit users to creating a single place to find everything about a person, place, thing or idea – including emails, contact information, websites, documents, appointments, RSS Feeds and more.

3) The Compass, which takes user defined, high priority information, and put’s it all on a single screen.

“Now users don't have to choose between living in the cloud or on the desktop - with StratoVista they can have the best of both worlds,” said Gen-9's President and CEO Mark A. Fauci. “StratoVista runs locally, like Outlook or Lotus Notes, but it provides powerful features that they don't such as ‘in the cloud’ access to their data through Google's free Web Services.

The beta version of StratoVista - Google Edition can be downloaded for a limited time at www.stratovista.com.
