The much anticipated and award-winning film based on the popular sport/hobby of GPS Treasure Hunting will be released on DVD on March 31st.

Feb. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- GPS THE MOVIE – The much anticipated and award-winning film “GPS THE MOVIE” hits DVD on March 31st.  The movie is based on GPS treasure hunting (Geocaching) and is a fun suspenseful romp in the woods.  The fun cult-classic type film has over two hours of extra bonus features, including a stunt gone wrong, a GPS treasure hunt adventure that was part of a marketing campaign, and much more. Gamers and fans will also enjoy the secret game codes and Easter Eggs hidden throughout the DVD.

TWILIGHT fans might take note of a behind the scenes featurette of the short film “MISTAKEN” which stars Cam Gigandet in his first film role.

GPS THE MOVIE picked up festival accolades including “Best Action Film,” “Best Local Film,” and “Best Visual Effects.” The Seattle Times called it “well-crafted and genuinely tense.”

Storyline: College friends embark on a GPS treasure hunt in the Northwest backwoods. Expecting cash rewards and reawakened flirtations, the line between the game and harsh reality quickly becomes blurred when they find a buried coffin with what appears to be photos of a kidnapped woman and clues to her location.
